Summer skin loves this ingredient – Niacinamide
You've probably heard of Niacinamide before - it's a wonderful ingredient that does a lot of good for our skin.
In summer, the skin is exposed to constant stress. UV rays lead to DNA damage and oxidative stress in the skin. Oxidative stress is chemical chain reactions that affect structures in the skin in a negative way. Oxidative stress causes micro-inflammation and breakdown of the skin's structures, so that the skin loses its strength and elasticity.
The body's own defense against oxidative stress is antioxidants. When the skin is exposed to UV rays, the skin's antioxidant reserves are used up quickly. When antioxidants are supplied directly through the skin, the concentration of antioxidants is highest where the oxidative stress is greatest. Recent research shows very good results when applying certain forms of antioxidants to the skin.
Niacinamide is vitamin B3, a powerful water-soluble antioxidant. In addition to its antioxidant properties, Niacinamide has a wide range of well-documented effects;
01
Improves the skin's surface structure, strengthens the skin barrier and maintains the moisture balance in the skin
02
Reduces redness in the skin
03
Regulates and reduces sebum production
04
Evens skin tone and reduces hyperpigmentation
